Va - Defected Presents: Def Mix Classics: 3cd

Oct 2007

The entire Def Mix crew come together for the first time to present us with an album that celebrates their 20th anniversary at the cutting edge of electronic music. Both the quality and quantity of remixes that this extraordinarily talented group have produced is incredible; CeCe Peniston's 'Finally' Rosie Gaines' 'Closer Than Closer' and Alison Limerick's 'Where Love Lives' to name but a few. There are also a number of seminal House records which showcase the Def crews unquestionable production skills; Satoshi Tomiie and Frankie Knuckles' 'Tears' is a standout among standouts. This album acts like a musical diary of House over the last 20 years; listen to it and you will be reminded of past musical moments and experiences and further develop your appreciation for the genre.
