Terry Lee Brown Junior - Terry’s Café Vol.12 (2009, Plastic City)

After the “Soul Digits” remix EP and the “Repack” remix album with remixed tracks of Terry's album “Softpack”, Plastic City's Terry Lee Brown Junior continues his “Terry's Café” mix compilation series this summer! Like on the previous “Terry's Café” compilations Terry's DJ set combines the most modern, emotional and warmest tracks from Adam Jace, Loco Dice, Mihai Popoviciu, David K, Amelia, Milton Jackson, The Timewriter, Antelia, Steve Lawlwer, Kevin Giffiths, or H.O.S.H. and remixes from David Alvarado, Pezzner, Jimpster, Nick Curly & Gorge and Martin Eyerer.

In his mix Terry handles with the right feeling for different summer atmospheres. A picknick in a very green park, a relaxed afternoon swimming in a clear lake, barbecue with friends and clubbing afterwards. Terry's facilities behind the decks are able to describe once again nearly every taste, every smell, every feeling, temperature, joke and magic that floats in the air or between people and is the perfect soundtrack for the summer. “Terry's Café Vol. 12” will tinge every experience this summer into the right color and transform it into an unforgettable adventure of pleasure.

Best Nights Ever - House Party

So the series is a series of parties kicking off with House Party, two mixed CDs with the latest house and deep house. ‘The Ballroom’ mixed by Graham Sahara, is an unashamed main room house mix, pitting some of the biggest house producers against a new breed delivering a mix that’s both familiar yet underground at the same time. ‘The Cellar’, mixed by Ben Sowton takes us slightly deeper, similar to his early bargrooves mixes, this is a mixture of bumping house with some trippier, deep house thrown in for good measure. Both mixes feature tracks from a range of artists and labels including some unreleased gems from the Seamless vaults..

As summer arrives it’s off to the beach and villa for Beach Party and Villa Party – the former a lush mix of sexy vocal house and bar grooves and the latter a mix of good old fashioned sophisticated underground house…the year finishes off with Warehouse Party – no surprises there what the soundtrack will be.

Bargrooves re-opens for the next instalment in its boutique music series: Bar Anthems II

It’s a decade since the new wave of bar culture began delivering the best DJs to our doorsteps and in this time a whole pantheon of what we now call Bargrooves has emerged in the collective musical consciousness. The very best tracks have, indeed, become genuine anthems in their own right; Bargrooves’ Bar Anthems is the essential guide to this quality dance music and it’s aimed squarely at that jet set, post clubbing community seeking out the fully proofed cocktail club sound.

Now presented across two excellently priced discs, Bar Anthems II is now unmixed, providing all 25 grooves in their full length unadulterated and perfectly distilled glory, just waiting for Bargrooves customers to shuffle or mix at their leisure. Bar Anthems II contains all the ingredients to make an aural cocktail of cherry picked soulful, disco and Latin anthems with an extra measure of looser, party-starting beats thrown in. All are delivered by the biggest, most widely loved names in Dance.
